Left Ovarian Cyst   

We carefully cleanse the skin of the
 abdomen to prevent infection.

   
The left ovary is enlarged to 9 cm.
 The right ovary and fallopian tube are normal.

   
I first examine the upper abdomen to be
 sure that there are no signs of cancer.

I also examine other abdominal organs to exclude signs of spread of cancer. Having decided that signs of cancer are absent, I proceed to remove the left fallopian tube and ovary.
