Mission of Lapscope.com:

  The Mission of Lapscope.com is to provide up to date information and techniques in gynecologic endoscopy for patients and medical personnel.

What is Gynecologic Endoscopy?

Gynecologic Endoscopy refers to laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. 

Laparoscopy refers to the placement of a telescope usually at the level of the belly button to examine and treat diseases in the abdomen and pelvis.

Hysteroscopy refers to the placement of a telescope into the uterine cavity to inspect and perform surgery for abnormal conditions in the uterine cavity.

For Patients:

Lapscope.com web site contains pictures of the female reproductive organs, which will aid patients and their families in understanding normal anatomy of the reproductive organs and some laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures.  (Please note some of the photos are graphic in nature.)

For Physicians:

The web site has several sections that contain useful Endoscopic procedure information and photos that are written in a format to help physicians.
